IS CVC “Milestii Mici” was founded in 1969 in underground galleries, as a result of limestone mining. The empty galleries were transformed into a huge wine cellar, that began to bring wines from all over Moldova to be stored and then to be sold in the country, as well as abroad. Ideal conditions to store wines for a long period were created underground, constant temperature of 12-14°C and humidity 85-95% throughout the year. The underground galleries have a total area of 200 km, 55 km of which are used for technological purpose. Thus, nowadays IS CVC “Milestii Mici” is one of the most important wineries in the country, and the largest wine cellar in the world that has a worldwide reputation. It has been registered in the Guinness Book of Records for having the largest wine collection, that counts around 1,5 million bottles of wine and is situated 80 meters underground. The “Golden Collection” contains wines from the harvest of different years between 1975 and 2015.

The State Enterprise Quality Wines Complex “Milestii Mici” is one of the biggest wine producers in the Republic Moldova, situated about 15 km from Chisinau, the capital of the country. It is specialized in producing quality wines, sparkling and collection wines. The company was found in 1969, as a result of limestone excavations under the ground. There were created ideal natural conditions to store wines for a long period in underground galleries – constant humidity (85-95%) and temperature (12-14°C) throughout the year. The total length of the galleries consists of 200 km, but only 55 km are used with the purpose to store wines (a surface of 182 thousand square meters). The pride of the company and of the country is the “Golden Collection” Milestii Mici, situated 80 meters underground. It was registered in the Guinness Book of Records in 2005 as the largest wine collection in the world and counts about 1,5 million bottle of exclusive collection wine.
