Aligoté is a variety of vine used to produce the wine of the same name. It is a semi-dry to dry wine, originating from the Burgundy area (France), from where it spread, acclimatizing very well in Romania, Bulgaria, Crimea, the Caucasus, etc. Many prefer this variety to Chardonnay from the same area.
The great vineyards of Vrancea and Dobrogea cultivate this kind of "long run"
